Medicines in school
All children may need medicine from time to time. In line with our school policy, we cannot administer medicines in school unless it is antibiotics needing to be given four times a day. If your child has a reoccurring issue though such as hay fever, period pain, migraine or eczema, you can discuss this with your doctor and get some medication with a doctor’s label on. You then need to complete a medical administration form in school so that staff can administer it.
Once you have completed the form and discussed it with staff, a log will be maintained within school of the date/time/dosage/staff present. You will also be notified that you child has had the medication so that you know when they will be able to have another dose.
