Information for Parents about the Y1 Phonics Screening Check
During Y1, all children are required to take a statutory phonics screening check usually during early June. This is a formal assessment of your child’s phonics learning.
The test is carried out by the teacher who has taught your child’s daily phonics lessons and is carried out at the pace that the child needs. The results of the test will be given to you within your child’s end of year school report.
