Early Years Foundation Stage Baseline Assessment
All children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) must have a baseline assessment within the first 6 weeks of starting school.
This is a statutory assessment. It is carried out by staff on a 1:1 basis and at the child’s own pace. Below is an information booklet for parents. Staff will discuss this with you and use the information along with that gathered from the previous setting, to plan an individual learning programme for your child so that they achieve the Early Learning Goals at the end of the Foundation Stage year.
