Coronavirus (COVID-19) catch-up premium
Schools have been allocated funding for specific activities to support our pupils to catch up for lost teaching over the previous months, in line with the curriculum expectations for the next academic year. While schools can use their funding in a way that suits their cohort and circumstances, we are expected to use this funding for specific activities which will support our pupils to re-engage in school and secure deep learning in key concepts within the curriculum.
We have chosen to spend our grant on maths provision across the school. We have been fortunate to be able to have Dave Godfrey from Numberfun to teach three times a week in school, working with children to secure key concepts in the maths curriculum. He is also training staff to help them develop teaching at a deeper level. Children from Class 1and 2 are currently involved in the programme.
Children were chosen based on initial teacher assessment. Their progress will be monitored half termly.
